The association marked Gaskiya College’s 61st anniversary on March 3rd, 2024 by visiting the school. Pep talks were given by the following alumni, Patricia Ejomeriona of AG91, David Ibarereh of AG95, and Rosemary Okorieh of AG97.
The focus of the Pep talk for the Senior Secondary School was ‘LIFE AFTER SECONDARY SCHOOL’ while that of the Junior Secondary School was ‘OVERCOMING EXAM ANXIETY, STRATEGY FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE AND SUCCESS’
Branded 60-leaf exercise books were given to the students and staffers of colleges alike.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The association had her Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 24th of March 2024 where diverse concerns of the association were discussed and resolved. Part of the issue discussed was a project to donate furniture to the school.
PROJECT
The association through the thoughtfulness of the president, Chief Joseph Friday Akiotu’s led executives proposed the donation of some desks and seats for the students. An appeal for funds was made and the old students responded with great enthusiasm to execute this project.
This project was delivered to the school on the 5th of February, 2024.
