Our Alma Mater clocked 60 years on the 3rd of March 2023 and ALGAC celebrated it in grand style.
The first stop was at Gaskiya College on Friday 28th April 2023, where we had a tour of the school facilities.
The President, Chief Friday Joseph Akiotu of the AG80 set flew all the way from England to grace the occasion. He gave his speech by way of words of encouragement to the students of Gaskiya College in the presence of the school principals and teachers, ably represented were also members of the old students association.
The old students motivated the current students in a Pep talk anchored by David Ibatereh of the AG95 set and Rosemary Okorieh of the AG97 set respectively.
A presentation of 5 large white marker boards was made to the school by the association.
Africa Independent Television (AIT) was on the ground to cover the events
The second stop was at the grand finale which took place at Majesty Event Centre Festac Town Lagos on the 29th of April, 2023. The event was hosted by one of Nigeria’s seasoned Master of Ceremony..Koffi da Guru.
Mr. President, Chief Friday Joseph Akiotu of the AG80 received warmly all members of the association and invited guests.
The Alumni executives were sworn in that day in a brief ceremony performed by the President Chief Friday Joseph Akiotu of the Great 80 set.
Other exciting activities were enjoyed by all guests ranging from
Elemu fraternity gyration to a playlet, the Bayelsa Chapter of the Old Students Association also entertained guests to a beautiful cultural display.
Funds were raised to support the lofty plans the association had earmarked for our Alma Mater.
Guests and old students were treated to sumptuous meals and refreshments.
